Only IITians who register with their official email ID (tt1160XXX@iitd.ac.in, ce1180YYY@iitm.ac.in, etc) has the Rights to write stories. WARNING: Only use @iitd.ac.in and not @dept.iitd.ac.in as your email else you won't get auto-activated.
IIT Alumni can signup with their usual email IDs (like gmail) and request for upgrading their account after logging in.
